Mobil Centaur XHP 460 Series greases are a superior family of greases developed with advanced calcium sulfonate thickener technology. Calcium sulfonate thickener has rust protection and extreme pressure (EP) properties. Compared to conventional soap-based thickeners (lithium, aluminum, calcium soap), the calcium sulfonate thickener used in the Mobil Centaur XHP 460 Series excels in water-saturated environments by providing rust protection during extended relubrication intervals. EP properties show very good stability in aqueous environments, providing a balance between wear protection and corrosion resistance.
Mobil Centaur XHP 460 Series greases are specifically developed to meet the demanding lubrication requirements of iron and steel mills and paper machine equipment. Mobil Centaur XHP 460 Series greases provide excellent corrosion protection in these extremely wet environments, as well as a balanced combination of washout and spray resistance.
