The Mobil Vactra™ Oil Numbered Series are premium quality slide oils specifically designed to meet the precision, coolant separability and equipment protection requirements of precision machine tools.
Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series is carefully formulated from high quality base oils and balances performance with an advanced additive system that provides controlled friction properties, is compatible with water-miscible metalworking fluids, and protects against corrosion of parts and equipment. The special additive combination reduces stick-release action and provides excellent frictional properties on a wide variety of channel materials, including steel-on-steel and polymer-on-steel. This provides smooth and uniform motion at design machining speeds, increasing machine productivity and surface finish. The Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series is optimized to provide easy separation from most water-miscible coolants while minimizing the corrosive effects of high pH coolants on lubricated surfaces.

Applications:
Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series products are recommended for the lubrication of machine tool slide systems. Designed for use with combinations of cast iron, steel and non-metallic duct material. Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series can be applied by hand, with a forced feed lubricant, or by a circulation system in overflow application.
• Mobil Vactra Oil No. Series products are suitable for use in applications requiring Fives Cincinnati specifications P53, P47 and P50.
• Mobil Vactra Oil No. 1 and No. 2 is recommended for horizontal slides on small and medium machine tools. They are also suitable for circulation application in large machinery and as a medium hydraulic fluid.
• Mobil Vactra Oil No. 4 normally recommended for large machines where pressures are high and good precision is required. It is also recommended for vertical and inclined slides and medium-duty bench gear drives where oil loss can be a problem.
• Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series can be used for the lubrication of ball screws, linear guides, heads, turning screws.
• The Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series is recommended for applications in water-based coolants where oil contamination shortens the life of the coolants.
